New 14C Science Re: Καλλίστη (Kallistei) Eruption

(AKA Thera/​Santorini)

The Original (Minoan) name of the island is Καλλίστη (Kallistæ, see my Chronology, updated today), known today by the Christianized name, Santorini (Saint Irene).

A new article on the Καλλίστη Eruption in The Atlantic magazine cites a scientific article in Scientific Reports, Radiocarbon analysis of modern olive wood raises doubts concerning a crucial piece of evidence in dating the Santorini eruption, the lead scholar, a doctoral student in Archaeological Science at Weizmann Institute of Science being my favorite, now world-renown, archeology scientist.
