חג המצות שמח

From Karen and me to each of you who are following Torah, for a חמץ-free, כשר 7 days. (Don’t forget to start your count of the עמר tomorrow evening — for which, BTW, there are free apps for your mobile cellphone. (I’m using Sefira 49, free. It has a תימני setting. Some others probably do as well.)

Here’s a task starting about 3 weeks before חג המצות every coming year: Explain the 4 sons as follows:

  1. A son who asks an intelligent question about the Yetziah is חכם — a “wise son.”

  2. A son who asks “What does this mean to you?” is a רשע, a wicked son.

  3. A son who sincerely asks “What is this?” is a תם, an innocent (simple) son.

  4. A son שאינו יודע לשאול who (doesn’t even know what to ask), who is he??? This is הַבֶּן הַאוֹבֵד — the son who is lost (prodigal son).

Every Jew who follows the traditional Haggadah, including the highest and greatest rabbis, is in the lost son; the ever-added fences (in contradiction of Devarim 13.1ff) ever distancing thm from Torah. Today, they no longer even know the 4 questions that were asked in ancient times (for which, see Talmud, Pesakhim 10.4)!!!

All “fences” are rabbinic, contradicting Torah (Devarim 13.1ff) pushing Jews ever further away from Torah; ever more fanatic, ever more extreme, ever more intolerant, ever less like Hileil and Ribi Yehoshua.

Put it on your calendar to recur every year 2-3 weeks before חג המצות. Make it your reply to every article about Pesakh that you can find. Be a warrior for Torah!
